do any of you participate in the at store shopping? if so what time do you usually line up if you do? like line up on the day before black friday? and what stores do you go to?

The Friday after Thanksgiving, where the big box stores have incridible sales that run from like 5am to noon. You'll see people lining up at some stores the day before.

Only time I've ever bothered was last year, cause Dick's had an awesome deal on a Remmington 870 Express. I only get Thanksgiving off from work, so I'll be sitting here, bored, cause I'm sure we'll be slow that day.

Yup, don't get that here. Thanksgiving isn't exactly what I would call a national holiday here.

I know that some stores here have a table outside that they give you a ticket for what you plan on buying as far as the big sale items that have limited stock.
Keeps from having stampedes and crushing since people line up from the night before.

thats what they are gonna do here too. The store im going to is going to start at 12 a.m. on Wednesday night/Thursday morning. they are going to hand out tickets 2 hours before opening. what time would you recommend i get there?

I totally avoid that crap, but I have a friend who waits in his car by the front doors and doesn't stand in line, once the doors open he walks right in with the first people in line, I love that about him, lines are not legal entities, just because you stand in line doesn't mean crap

haha well i dont have a license so i cant just wait in my car. but to get the tickets you have to be in line sadly. but im also going to be on my phone shopping online while inline. seeing if i can buy the stuff even before the store opens. that way i could just go home and sleep then pic it up in the morning

The day Americans trample each other for things they want, just after the day they are thankful for what they already have.


My sister in law does some shoping on black friday... I really couldnt care less.

not my idea of a good time either. but my idea of a good time sorta involves a better tv and my ps3. but also messing with motorized stuff.

Heh, yeah, I wouldnt mind a nice flatscreen. Would be alot nicer that the 1296729lb thing I got now. lol
