So, I'm here because i recently aquired a katana 600 and a yerf dog, and you can imagine whats going to happen. I hope it'll take about 3 weeks to complete on the weekends. I also got a rack and pinion for it and a raptor 350 axle, ill post some pics when its done.

anyway, about me: I currently am a club level drifter with club loose, i have a VQ35 (350Z/g35 engine) in an s14 240sx, and before that i had an s2000 with an sr20. I love to fabricate and build. I have a liconln percision tig 225 and a millermatic 211. I also love burnouts and partying. I'm 23 and live in NJ. I'm looking forward to contributing and interacting with you guys! If any of you are intrested in the cars i could post pics of that too as that is my main thing.

Make sure you make a thread and keep us updated when you work on the kart, and I'm sure everyone would like to see those cars...I know i do

Welcome! Please go over the entire kart, and make sure every little bit of hardware is up to the task. Obviously, it was not designed for that much engine. Do bear in mind that Darwin watches these builds very closely. Do be careful, death sucks.

I have to agree with Toystory here. Make sure all welds are good, maybe even go over a few. Do a lot of bracing, maybe even using some gussets.

Well the plan was to build a good cage for the cart with a good 5 point harness and probably arm restraints. I also want to play with the wheel base and extend the rear axle to get the center of gravity as low as possible and keep it away from wheelies. I already started going over the factory structural welds, they're not completely around the pipe so I'm taking care of that. Next weekend should be a big fab/ mock up weekend so I'll post pics after that.
