Perhaps Robert should instigate a PM which is automatically sent to all new members as a "welcome kit" as it were, outlining what we do & what we expect you to do... Maybe, coming from you, Paul, that idea may carry a bit more weight but, I'd be happy to throw it in the suggestion box
I thought I would just let everyone know that the idea Fabroman came up with has been implemented. A Sticky has been drafted and posted in the intro section of the forum. This will also be automatically mailed to new members when they register.

That's awesome. Can I just mention one teeny tiny thing; The first tip says "post pics" but doesn't mention anything about how. Maybe something like "there is a sticky in each section of the forum to show you how to" could be added?

Hi guys, I can't post pics. I'd love to but I can't. Maybe some others are in the same boat. I'm working off an iPhone and for some reason I can't post pics on any forum from it. I'm not much of a technology guy. This is my first computer type device. Does anyone know of a way to get around this phone hurdle? In simpleton terms please. If not I'm stuck pictureless until I get a laptop for the truck. I'm going to request one from the women for Christmas. Until then sorry guys.

1.Take a photo with your iphone.
2.Start the Photobucket app, and click the button that says Upload New Photos.
3.You will see thumbnails of your new photo(s), click on the ones you want to upload, so you get to see a “plus sign” at the top right of the thumbnail you want to upload, then click “upload”.
4.Look around your iphone screen for a button to view your newest uploaded photos, and click on it.
5.Click on a photo you want to post – you will then see an enlarged view.
6.Click on the “i” logo at the bottom right of the iphone screen.
7.On the information screen, look for the last line of code (it is preceded by IMG) and click on it. When you get the message “Copied IMG Code”, click on “OK”.
8. When you want to upload pics in your post, click on advanced, then manage attachments. Paste the URL you copied into the window and upload.

Uploading photo's
Another way to load photo's from your phone; at least it's the way I've been doing it from my last 3 flip phones (current one is a last generation Casio G-Zone).
1] Take photo.
2] Go to the photo page/ section on your phone.
3] Select your photo(s).
4] Select options; select Send.
5] Select Picture Message.
6] Enter your E-mail address.
7] Hit send.
8] Wait for it to finish; then, check your E-mail (if practical/ possible).
Just to make sure I wasn't blowin' smoke, I uploaded the photo that I attached here from my phone to my G-mail account (writing down the steps as I went, just to make sure I had `em right), then down to my desktop, then up to the page.
I took the picture at the bus station Friday; 3 guesses (should be 2 more than you need) as to why I just had to shoot it. (And no, I didn't find it on the internet.)

Is it because you could just slide the bike off the rack, then deal with the lock easily once you bring it home after stealing it?:arf:
Landuse - I had composed something like this in my head a few weeks ago, never got around to making it because I felt I didn't have the all of the neccessary info or it wasn't my position.
All that aside, I like it. It looks very professional.

They did loop it thru the rear wheel, so you would have to carry it home; other than that, ya, you got it in one!!!
This is one of those things I never thought I would actually see for myself; until I did. I can only guess that the owner is from the shallow end of the gene pool.
EDIT; Just looked again; they did loop both wheels. Doesn't change anything, though.

Don't feel shy about making suggestions to the mods, or taking it upon yourself to draft some sort of document that you feel is noteworthy. Heck, practically all the stickies have come from ordinary forum members. You don't have to be someone special. So, if you have something that you want to post, go for it

Do you think this will also work for an iPad or iPhone. I don't have one, so I cannot even test it
