Sanded, primed, sanded, painted.

Ok so this is the spring on the break pedal. The one on the throttle pedal broke. Where can I get a new one?

Yup, there's an ACE near me. I'll try it. Hmmph. I didn't even think of checking gokartsupply...figured it was such a small piece, they wouldn't carry it. Thanks!

4.25 for the spring.....8 something for shipping...REALLY?

what exactly do I need the spring for? i'm trying to flip it, and I think its one of those things that the buyer wouldn't notice, ya know?

No problem. Ace tends to have a pretty decent selection of springs (found that out working on paintball guns of all things.. lol) but something like that? It doesn't hurt anything to check anyways.

Edit-As the pedal won't return, I'm pretty sure they will notice.

do you know the purpose of the spring? there's also a spring on the throttle behind the engine, so any clue?

It's a pedal return spring. The throttle return spring is not strong enough to return the throttle, cable & pedal so this spring pulls the pedal back to it's static position; you need both.

You can try fabbing one but, take it from someone who's done it, it's not as easy as it looks. Seriously, with all the messing around you'll do to get it just right, it's easier to buy one

Thanks, I'll check out my local hardware store, and go from there.

All is sanded. Hope to prime tomorrow, sand/paint Friday, put it all together on Saturday and ride by Sunday!!!

That being said, can anyone post pics of the pedals? I know I will mess up here, and I don't believe I had a camera when I was at this stage. Thanks!
