Someone on this forum built a scale replica of a military utility vehicle not long ago. He did an excellent job of it, and deserves all kinds of credit. However, I am a Jeep fanatic, so I am just amazed and thrilled by your Jeep! I envy your ability and patience.

Thanks, I still need to build some things before painting but I have little time to get it done.

After they choose their color, would you be able to repaint it later?
How did you go about getting a sponsor?

Good question, but I understand that would not have to paint it in a while. It is also a friend who is going to paint. He has a body shop. The only thing that I have to do is, put an ad or sticker on the jeep with the body shop name & phone number. Believe me it is a saving of many dollars of paint job. Is good business for both.
Everyone who see the jeep was impressed.

My intention was to leave the jeep primed by the high cost of painting. My friend heard me and offered to do the job. So was I got a sponsor

Thats cool that you were able to help each other out, and i read the thread start to finish, but did i miss what kind of welder you were using? Its beautiful, spot on in scale, if you get any say in the color, paint it to match your jeep, i kinda like that green color.

P.S. i love reading your post, its like s word search, i understand it perfectly, but it takes me a minute:roflol:

Back to work after 9 months. New 12" wheels, torque converter and a lot of work to get it done.

I get the TC, but I need to do some modifications to install it. I think that the crankshaft do not work as is and needs to be cut whole lengthwise. I also need to relocate the engine mount to make space for the TC driven. Another issue to fix is, the gap between the front of the wheel and body of the jeep. The wheel needs to be moved to the back about 1/2 in.

I need suggestions because I need a charging sistem in my Jeep. I am planning to install a V Belt pulley on the crankshaft behind the TC (to drive an alternator) and then the TC separated by bushings or spacers. The cranckshaft has long enough to do so.

These are the first I have to make arrangements. The list is too long.

hmm.. you can leave the pulley and alternator on, mount the driver on that, and get a longer keyed shaft for the jackshaft you can move the driven out to allign with the driver. thats what id try.

Good idea! I can install TC plate first, then the belt pulley and then the driver. After this I need to allign the driven.

Bored of not building anything and not hear the grinder and the welding machine, I proceeded to build something new to my mini jeep. I buyed a peerless 353 3 speed & reverse trany. I don't know if works but I'll try. Also I need to make some improvements. New engine, hydraulic brakes, longer front axle etc..
