Hey guys!

So me and my friend plan on making a go kart from scratch... somehow. I'm just wondering how I would go about doing that such as, what engine should I use, making the frame etc. If someone would provide this information that would be lovely!

Thanks!

Edit: Some engines could be like a lawnmower engine, chainsaw engine, snowblower, scooter that kind of stuff

Well you will want a horizontal shaft engine. So that rules out all lawn mowers. What do you want for speed, terrain, and weight? Do you want a 2 seater? Offroad on road? You need to supply more information before we can tell you what will be best.

For speed: 50-70km
Terrain: City streets and cutting through parks to get away from security lol :p
Weight: Around 130-160
One seater for sure.
Onroad for sure.

And that should be the information provided xD

I would go a 6.5hp clone. they are cheap and good engines

considering you are in Canada...I am assuming you have a princess auto you could get it from?

130 - 160 what; pounds or kilos? Also, is that what you want it to carry or what you want it to weigh?
