Oh and I did put a much lighter guy in it >my Kart< 100lb's less than me . It was MONSTER for him to drive . I kept telling to forget what you think you know about driving, this Kart Is a beast that needs your Co-Operation to go fast .

what if we all sent our spare parts we dont need to someone who could build it up? it would be like a scrap kart, but we could do it for almost no money at all.

my vote is for same size wheels all around. gives it a stance that looks like it'll go anywhere, rather than just be a dragster race kart.

That could turn out terrible if the guy just sold the kart :furious2:.

I dont really care for the dragster look either but smaller wheels in the front it looks sleeker and when you put offroad wheels on both front and back it just looks badass and still gives it the anywhere look.

Well, I don't think you can actually "design" the greatest go-kart ever. The greatest go-kart ever would be some amalgomation of art and availability and time and place and experience and story and knowlwge increased over all that.

I've never built a go-kart from scratch. I like to buy junkers from swap meets and such and fix them up. Not restore, just fix up and leave a lot of the badges of courage still on that gives them character. Each weld bead on top of another weld bead tells a different story. What kid of 20 years ago has what story that went with this weld bead?

The greatest go-kart just sort of happens. Maybe it's not until you add that 50th story to the 20th weld bead that it just happens to you to become the greatest go-kart ever.

Fair enough.....How high are some of the welds on your karts? hahahaha Im thinking 20 beads on top of each other would get rather bulky lol

My perspective as a noob would be that the real goldmine here would be to design the "best" kart on a small budget.. say $1000.

A few different categories perhaps?
