Hello there im new here, so hope you can advise.

Not sure if im being to quick to worry but I ordered some parts from gokartsrus.com yesterday, after ordering I sent them an email, and also sent them one this morning after they opened (according to the website they're open 8:00am - 5:00pm Mon-Fri). I haven't had a responce to either email and my order is still 'pending' despite the money coming out of my bank immediately.

Should I be worried? Im sure someone on here can quickly put my mind at rest if they order from them.

Also im in the UK, does anyone know what they're USA>UK shipping times usually are?

For future reference can anyone advise the best UK stores/websites for Manco parts?

Thanks in advance.
James

Why don't you just call them?

Usually when an order is pending it means they're waiting for the money to clear (credit/debit cards can take up to 3 business days, checks take a loooong time, etc) before they ship the order out.

I'm in the UK, the company is in NY, USA.
I also can't find a number, and my phone is barred from calling abroad anyways.

It was a credit card transaction which is usually fairly instant in processing and is already displayed on my statement (even if the payment isn't always instantly available to the reciever).

I was only seeing if anyone else had experience with the site, lots of people seem to link to it but cant find any recent reviews of people buying from them..... Maybe I should just wait and see, if anything at least I can report back what happens.

Site looks like a new-web-designer's playground, lots of (imho) useless html doo-dads and such.

I've never dealt with them, have no experience. But at least if it's on your credit card you can dispute it if you find them to be less than reputable.

It really is a poorly designed or at least very dated site, I usually don't rush in but I obivousl got a little over excited and rushed into ordering the parts without a second to blink :(

I'll give it till next week then a call to the credit card will be in order, fingers crossed I wont need to though!

How long did you wait before you started your email? Five minutes? The next morning?

Best to just call them at this point. If the number is bogus then file a claim. No phone number?

Just a quick update. I received a basic, quite harsh email from them today, but it was contact all the same.

My order has now apparently been sent out using USPS Priority Mail International so my mind is a little at ease now and I'll update you once the package arrives (6 to 10 business days hopefully).

28th March - Ordered Place & Payment Taken
30th March - 1st Communication received via email
30th March - Order dispatched (from NY, USA to England, UK)

At least then people on Google will have a review on their current service.

10th April - I received my order today, less than two weeks from order to delivery which is very reasonable considering the two bank holidays so rest assured if anyone plans to order from them. Despite their dated site and slow communication I was still go back if it was a part I couldn't get here in the UK.

Hey there flowerman! Yup I'm here in the UK aswell, I'm not so much a builder, I was lucky to get an old Manco Dingo passed to me but it needed a bit of a refurb to get it back up and running so I figured I'd give it a go, never done anything mechanical before but its only basic repairs.

The postage did hurt but as a novice I was wanting to order from the original parts list and even on eBay UK the prices we're about the same. I'll have to have a look at the site in the future if I need any more parts though thanks! I'll upload a photo or two once I've got the thing running again but it's nothing special compared to some of the custom builds I've seen!
