honda gx 110 performance??

hi i found this add on kijiji http://toronto.kijiji.ca/c-buy-and-sell-home-garden-other-Honda-3-5hp-GX110-motor-W0QQAdIdZ353229910 and i was wondering if there were any performance parts like any stiff valve springs or cam shaft with longer intake duration. Because I'm pretty sure i can get a good carb exhaust and remove the govorner etc but i want to rev this up to 7000rpm+ so i can squeeze more power outta it and i don't want valve float to limit me, o andy I'm planing on putting it on i bicycle (60cc just can't get past 31mph).

o thanks for reminding me about the flywheel but conn rod I'm not sure and can i get a 2 stroke pocket bike flywheel in it because i have one laying around and i think they rev around 5000-6000 rpm's stock

i dont know exactly where to get these things but i hope you have a big buget. more experienced members should be able to help you no problem i would wait a day and youu will have a reply.

I would contact russ at NR racing, or arc racing. They will be able to let you know if the gx160 parts fit.

You will probably want to do the following:
Remove the governor
Install billet flywheel and con rod
Stiffer springs (gx200 24lb may fit?)
Skim the head, and possibly port and do a valve job if you can
Bigger Carburettor (gx270 one?)
advance the timing a little.

IMO if you want to get rpm and power I would go 2 stroke, or buy a gx200 clone if you want to mod.

I would think twice before getting that particular engine. It looks like the PTO is stepped or tapered. What you want is a straight, keyed shaft.

I also know that those engines aren't made anymore, and that some parts are not interchangeable with the other GX models that are still being produced.

Sure, maybe. What are you putting it on, tire size, weight, gearing, terrain, governor, mods, etc?

I'm putting it on a bicycle with 26" tires, no rough terrain just nice smooth asphalt, gearing i just want good acceleration with a decent top speed, deff going to remove the governor, first mods are going to be air filter, carb, spark timing, exhaust valve springs, might weld slightly bigger lobes on cam shaft for higher lift and higher compression and maybe if my wallet was deep enough a efi fuel injection turbo kit.

GX120 billet conrod works in the 110, piston doesn't. GX200/160 springs and rocker arms fit right in. Valves are different. Cylinder heads COULD be swappable, depending on combustion chamber sizes. Carburetor is swappable, if you use the stock spacer. A stock 110 on my old go kart with 6:1 would do ~30mph.
