I try to make it down there 3 to 4 times a year on my bikes. I'm only 3.5 hrs from there.

my speed calculations:
12/60 sprokets 5.0 ratio
12" tall tires
24.9 MPH @ 3500 rpm
35.6 MPH @ 5000 rpm (think downhills)

The 820's are still in production.
Look a little different now, but are basically the same.
They have had different names in the last few decades.
Westbend, Chrysler, Powerbee...perhaps others.
On the pricey side. Available in CCW (left) or CW (right) configurations.

Well, what do think the top speed is on this speed machine? Does it have any pick up or are you pushing it to along then jumping in just to get moving?

My wife rides it, and it does pretty good, I'd say around 25 MPH.

Good to see your longtime family member is back in action. Very sharp-now convert it to a live axle and throw a couple of dingers on it!

I have one of those old-style cast Rupp steering wheels. They're sweet! IMHO they look better mounted upside-down. But yours is mounted correct.
