auto class chevelle project

i found out that my school has auto class for sophs.. so i signed up for that class. it starts out my day every morning and its awesome! anyone else take a class like this?

we always have 2-3 cars in for engine swaps, exhaust jobs, oil changes, etc... and were rebuilding 4 engines at a time... the inline 6 chevy engine, a V8 jeep engine, a VW flat 4, and another inline 6 that im not sure of. theres a few more VW flat fours that have already been rebuilt.

I had it for two years. Nothing like yours though, pretty much tire & oil changes with a little diagnostic work. It was just whatever the rich kids brought in, so of course, there were no real projects.

cool. believe it or not, my school doesnt have a very big shop wing

next year i plan on going to a tech school thats even more involved than this.

We were allowed to go to the vo-tech half a day starting junior year. I took agricultural mechanics for 2 semesters. I learned that diesel stinks. And maybe a bit about welding and engines.

@DaiSan76 diesel stinks? haha you mean the smell or is it not cool at all? i am considering something like a diesel technician or something. never worked with a diesel before though...

They built a new building and put in a 6 bay garage at my highschool the year following my graduation. When I was there we had to commute to another school near by for a 2 hour morning shop. Its great information. Keep throwing up pictures, love to see em.

I was planning on taking welding this year, but the class was ful(of idiots who dont really care) then was going for autobody... blasted place never got back to us.

If i could have got into welding this year, i could have gotten certified be the end of next year...

This was my entire first 3 years of high school lol! I had Latin and metal tech every year...despite the fact that they only offer 2 years worth of shop class. (didn't finish the kart)

HAHAHAHAHA, I suppose now that I'm in 8th grade i have to actually decide where I'm going to high school.....

Fun school (tech school), normal school (public high school where all my friends are) , or private school (neither of those fun things, but Mater and Pater want me to go there).

We don't have community college with shop clas. If we did I'd be there already. I have shop class in my garage and the internet.

r97, go to tech school! you can still talk to your friends (probably not as many though) and make new ones.

buckeye is right, i learn most of my mechanic stuff on the internet and this site!

nice writing, the reason i fail half of my tests is because im EXTREMELY shaky and it makes my writing barley legible unless i take an extra 30 minutes which i usually don't have
