LOL, get your self a subie! I pull that rope, with barely any force behind my pull, i pull out 6" of rope and the thing is already idling smoothly, the extra foot of rope i pull after that is just wasted, LOL. Literally, that engine starts with the flick of my wrist!

osso I'm pretty sure nothing happens if you cross the wires. Just put were you think things should go and make a good ground.. If you mess up just try again.
