looks like alot of rust on bed side... got more pics? make sure if u do it you do it right, thats where i work every day. a auto collision shop, people can do a car in a few days but not right. good luck

Chances are is I will pick up a bed that is in much better shape in a few days. If not, I'll try to replace what sections I can with new metal, any I can't replace, I may do the foam + bondo trick.

I'm not worried about the truck lasting me forever, But I'm really good with body filler so it will look decent, just have a poor life-span.

That tray looks, umm interesting? lol. Did you give it that matt black paint? Did you fill the holes in the driver door? Or just a ruff job?

Tray? what tray?

Thats also just flat black sandable primer, stuff is really useful for finding low spots quickly, It literally dries a few seconds after you spray it on.

The only holes left on either door is the mounting holes for the mirrors, there is however one last rust-hole on the lower rocker panel on the driverside, I got the door completely done the other night and was really tired, so I just sprayed a coat of primer over all of it to make it match with the other side for now.

Bucket seats did not ruin it. He did all the work himself frame up. He does amazing upholstery and it looks nice... If ur gonna say something insulting on a nice truck. Say it to ur own. It has taken him lots of time and money and thought to do this truck over the past 20+ years

Not much of an update, really only have this side of the truck completely done w/ body work.

Other mods include 3" drop blocks in the back and a test-fitment of some 15" OEM Isuzu Trooper wheels. (I intend on getting some low pro tires, along the lines of 185-195x60x15s)

Also had to replace the center support bearing and housing for the 2pc driveshaft.

All in all I got about $100 into this thing in parts and primer. (I get parts at discount price. 40% off.)r

I also recently discovered I have a slight bit of coolant seepage around the head gasket/deck. Which is fine as it is incredibly easy to tear these things down. and I can get a full Fel-Pro head gasket set for around 20-25 dollars after discount.

Incase anyone is interested in this project, heres a few photos with the latest updates.

Skinned the tailgate so I could replace the sheet metal, going to use a buddy's mig machine to spot weld it. Should turn out nice.

Thanks, Im really beginning to think I should've gone to school for auto body when I had the chance. Got such a natural ack for this. That tailgate came together in about 2 hours. still needs a little more work to get it perfectly true, but that should only take about an hour with the body hammer and dollies. and maybe a dash of body filler here n there.
