I just picked up a kt100 for $100!

Apparently it runs, haven't started it but cranked it with an alin key and seems to have real good compression.

Comes with a horstman dxl 9t clutch. Looks new. Not really sure what model it is, only writing of any sort I can find on it is "9507"

That is a nice looking engine! The pics on Yamaha's site don't do it justice. I like to see it in a more natural environment and get an idea of what it really looks like.

It's missing a 3 fins towards the bottom, needs a good cleanup. Looks like it's been sitting a long time in someones basement.

The funny thing is it was listed on a used site for over 3 months. It has been gone for a while and when I was digging through some emails I found an email to the guy who was selling because I asked him a question. I thought it was worth a short so I emailed him, and it was still for sale!

A 1.5 hour drive to get it :)

The guy I bought it from was rich.. He had a brand new z06 corvette in his driveway and areal nice place.

He bought it for his kid to race (it has a red restrictor, 3 hole can), but it was too fast for his class.

It's only a few people I notice use "billet" almost every other word, almost like a four letter word:

"That looks like billet!" or "Go billet yourself!" "I have to go take a billet." "When I rented the truck, I told them to bill my friend, but they billet to me instead."

I'll admit that billet parts look nice, but I don't think they're absolutely necessary for most of the stuff that people like us do.

The following billet parts actually have purpose, billet rods and flywheels, everything else is meaningless fluff unless your running a 70hp drag racing engine and even then im pretty sure tyler was running a cast crank in his cast blockzilla block and it lasted a while.
