So, now that we're scooping up the last of the blue clones, who's going to be the first to endeavor out there and test a predator 212cc? HF's site says these come with a cast iron bore and precision machined block. Why does it seem that, recently, they've stopped using HP ratings and have started rating them by the ft./lbs. of torque? I've seen this all over when we were looking for a new lawnmower and in this predator series where they list the ft./lbs. of torque, not HP. Apparently, Honda has ended the GX series and has debuted the IGX series, which is not compatible internally with the GX line.

Quite a few of the big manufacturers have faced lawsuits due to false HP claims.

it would be very hard to get engines to a set horse power

every engine is differant

i havent seen hp in pamfletes or websites for ages

only recently have they stopped printing the hp on the engine its self

^^^ That proves nothing. These are something strange because of their displacement. As for HP and not being directly stated, just use displacement (as long as it's the same style engine, industrial-industrial not industrial-bike)

well i wouldnt buy an engine unless i knew how much power it made.

remember these type of engines are made to power machines like lawnmowers etc etc. I reckon the torque figures they give are more relevent anyway

honda still give hp ratings and alot of the handheld twostokes have a hp/kw rating

Shipping weight: 1.00lbs. I wonder if they're really cheap to have shipped?
