My thoughts,

Will the chain hit that cross bar?

You could have saved money by buying a Honda or yamaha Fat Cat or Big Wheel real wheel. it has the brakes,sprocket and hub built in. You could of also set it up with chain adjusters.

If I was you I would weld another plate over your pillow block bearing mounting holes on both top and bottom. Then slot the holes to adjust your chain. It would be a simple mod to weld the plates on. Drill two holes and use a die grinder to slot the holes.

hit the cross bar, nope I played He// trying to get that to work. The chain will go around like on some minibikes.
I never though of doing that to the bearings, I was going to do that to the Jack shaft and motor.
The chain sections will be a little longer then what I'm use to. I would like to put an TC on this but I think I'll only be able to clutch & spoketize it

also the mid part of the trike will be offset by 1 " if I rember right

Sorry if I sounded negitive. I was not rying to be. Great work and I watch all the vids you post here.

The fat cat wheel would be a good idea though. Not sure how many sprockets you could get for it though. Also my welder does not do what yours was doing.

is this self designed or did u get the plans

also u commented on the complexity of the cross bar on the back

is there any reason u need the dog leg
cant u just weld a cross bar between the bar the axle is supported on

oh ok . that back bar is pritty much a gard for the tire I might use it for some type of fender thingy not sure yet. there is a cross bar infront of the tire, so its kind of boxed in.

T-Man I got another tip if you do not mind? What about building a mini nerf bar on the swing arm to protect the brake rotor? You could make a simple round bar off the swing arm looping around the outside of the rotor connecting to the swing arm behind the rotor. Then get some flate bar and make a runner under the rotor. Kind of like Dingos have.

If your rear tire is riding high on a rock. Then say slides off the rock to the left your rotor would take a beating. Or drifting into a curb or rock on that side.

Just a thought friend.

I seen my old man make spacers in tight spaces like that. He used silly putty to stuff into the space. The just measured the silly putty.

hey those are both great ideas. now that I think of it ..... I never thought of any protection for the disc. the chain yes but not the disc. I will defently do that.

Nylon washers in the plumbing dept. Also fix the frame right. You can think of a way right? Your T-Man.

Also tie the motor mount rail to the frame. You said you were not sure? I would do it.
