Hey, I am thinking about starting to Modifying my 6.5 Clone. I already know i must get a Billet rod and Flywheel. I am wondering after those two things what should i get next? There is soo much stuff they have out there and i dont know what to get for the performance i want.

I am trying to get more power and speed.. Basically more speed but i need power also.

I have already removed my governor..
And i also already made a custom pipe

Please tell me some stuff i should get to meet my goal. I am not trying to spend a arm and a leg on the parts so try to show me stuff with reasonable prices.

You dont need a billet flywheel. The myth that they explode is just that, a myth. there is still a possibility though.

Parts you should get:
Billet rod
high flow air filter
high flow exhaust
New jet(must rejet with increased air flow)
18lb valve springs.

Yeah, I run my engine hard now with a removed governor only and a pipe.. Motor has yet to explode.

But i have a custom pipe already.
So i will get a billet rod and a air filter and rejet

With those mods will i notice a gain in power/speed?

Also what size jet should i get?

With those mods you will get more rpm, and a bit more hp.
I would get a numbered drill bit set and drill with your fingers to the next size, try it, and keep doing this until the engine runs good (you can check by checking the spark plug)

Alright, I understand..
What a good size jet i should start off with? I am in Georgia. I rather buy a jet then drill them. Just in case i mess up i can go back to stock..

Also do the stock carbs on the 6.5 clone have removable jets?

Those mods are the basic.. Cheap type mods?

Then after i get those mods, i should get a different cam and so on?

I am in Georgia also. but they shop is about a 1hr 12mins away from me. So will just order.
I will probably order from a different site though because they dont have the 18lb valve springs.

Man, your really pushing the outer limits of this myth thing lately.

How can you be so confident his $3 flywheel didn't happen to have any manufacturing defects or it hasn't somehow been damaged, and it would be 100% safe with these mods running wide open at 6500rpm?

Well i am smart enough not to keep my foot WOT for along time. I usually can tell when the motor is over revving then i let off the gas.
