Anything is possible, if you have to ask then I'd say you don't the skills or machinery to do so.

I'd like to get an old briggs mower engine one day and convert it into a 2 stroke, I modify engines a lot more seriously than most others on this forum though.

It's not impossible but I don't think it would qualify as a conversion since you would only be left a little bit of the block and crank. Everything else would have to change around it.

Since it's a uniflow 2 stroke it needs an external scavenging pump, which in this case is a converted lawnmower engine of similar/identical displacement to the converted 2 stroke. It's completely useless and madly impractical, but it runs! I love it :D The same guy has vids of an opposed piston engine cobbled together from 2 lawnmowers and a sleeve valve engine that runs (and smokes like crazy). All kinds of awesome!
