Honda ATC 3 to 2 Wheeler Mini Bike Fat Cat

I have a few of these three wheelers. In a few months I am going to be making one these conversions.

You can pik up these old three wheelers from $200 to $400 all day long in my area. It looks like it would be easy cheap conversion as well. The atc's have low and high gear box. You would think this thing would go any place you wanted to really.

If all goes to plan I will have about $350 into the swap total. About the same as a Cloned Doodle Bug.

Looking at a few of them right now. Portland Cl $200 for running three wheeler.

by looking at the vid can anyone tell how you would tighten the chain? I do not think he has one? Looks like he has a chain roller in it. Is that all I would need? Perhaps the roller is adjustable????

could you use pillow bearings in the rear axle with slots on the swingarm?

Also if you had to guess, what size sprockets do you think he is using?

The builder is active under his youtube link. I asked him some questions.

That thing's cool, I'm thinking that Idler/guide on the swing arm is spring loaded but maybe its just adjustable.

Pillow Bearings could be a good option if your swing arm was made from square or rectangular metal that had a flat mounting surface.

I couldn't tell for sure but I'm guessing he just used the stock Honda sprockets and then geared the jackshaft 1 to 1 with both the same size. Cool thing with this is you could swap the outer jack shaft sprocket for fairly quick and inexpensive gearing changes.

I had a trike. Sold for $100, all it needed was a new timing chain. Needed the cash to build my kart. Idk in my area three-wheelers that run don't sell below $500.

Above in this thread I posted the link to 2 of them in my area. The price does depend on your market though. ATC here are $200 all day long. Most need work from sitting. Running from $300 as well.
