I am very, very impressed.
that thing sounds like its got grunt!
And it picks up the kart of the line no sweat

I can`t wait till u get your hands on a Victa 160cc 2 Stroke!
You can pick one up at the markets over here (Australia) at the markets for $20 easy.
Here are 3 Victa's on ebay for $10.

I just have no real need for one at the moment...

However, i am making a billy kart in metal shop at school..
It is essentially just a gokart without and engine.
It should be done in.. oh, 3 months...
Get a Vica 160cc into that :cheers2:

Nice work on the kart Russ

HOLY #%$&, Batman!
That thing romps! Are you thinking live axle yet? Dang, it'll probably tow a taller ratio now, unless there's more rpm available to play with. That's gonna be a fun top speed run when you get to try it. I'm lucky, because I have a fairly flat/smooth strip a half mile long to zip down. (Plenty of room to drag feet and stop).
Just to reiterate, Russ... for our viewers out there.....
With what cc's are you buzzing up and down the street with (Standard LB 4.5hp vs. DuraForce LB 6.5hp)?..... in other words, folks, if you go 2 stroke, you don't have to go large or expensive (Torq-a-verter).
Oh, forgive me for not saying this at the top- GREAT JOB!

Nah, that's just Russ. :roflol:

Nice work! The more and more I see of those engines the more and more I want to get mine to work! OH, what happened at the end, did you kill the clutch?

Thanx, :cheers2:it's appreciated.:bannana:.

In retrospect, I should have gone to live axle to begin with:toetap05:.
If I can sell this one for a good profit, next frame will be live axle to accommodate twin DuraForce.

Original Model 'F' at 4.5 hp is 127cc's. DuraForce (model 'E') is 141cc's.
OH, what happened at the end, did you kill the clutch?
Thought so...but no...I just did something really dumb that I am not willing to admit to at this time.:mad2:

OKAY... I'll go on record as saying that TOO MANY times, I forgot to tighten the clutch set-screws, and I'd get this nifty "ain't goin' NO WHERE!" sort of performance from my karts! But, usually, it holds out just long enough to make the walk back to my allen-wrenches a really loooong one!

Geez, Russ- even the Model F hauls butt quite well. A twin DuraForce Set Up won't sound like a fart, though- it'll sound like a grown man yelling, "Holy Shiiii.............!"

That would truly be the "Twin 2-Stroke of Terror" or the "Smokey Twin of Death" .......

Tried to get one recently from Ebay. Shipping costs alone prohibited me from bidding.

Oh man no kidding. I recently bought a 2 stroke yamaha dirt bike engine for my kart for $100, the thing was only one state away and shiipping was $50!:mad2:

When you go into the corner near the street, it kind of sounds like you have a manual clutch because it revs up a bit then starts pulling off

My guess is that the tire wasn't making much contact with the ground. I was thinking the same thing.

$793.53

Was checked with GPS and got 3 different numbers due to loss of signal. Must be a weak spot where I ride. However... Original 'F' engine was clocked by car at 42 mph and (by comparison) DuraForce is 2 hp more with higher RPM.
third what rpm range does that motor go up to?
Can only guess. Between 6 to 7k or higher (?).
