New Member in New Orleans... Attempting an Arachnid

Hello everyone, my name is Otis in New Orleans, LA. I'm new to karts, although I'm relatively seasoned in motorcycles and 4x4's. After putting the finishing touches on a heavily modified Toyota FJ40, I got the urge to build something completely ground-up, and decided that an off-road kart would be an excellent project. To that end, I bought plans for a Spidercart Arachnid, and promptly found this forum and the excellent build-up threads by Wobbly, SilverGrizz, and Bill CNC. Despite the apparent design issues with this set of plans, I am determined to learn from the excellent information posted by these folks and other contributors and soldier on with my own build. I have already learned a tremendous amount from this site, and look forward to sharing my build-up as well!

Go to the project log section and read the two more recent threads about the arachnids. There are some design flaws in the plans but were solved for you by others . Reading them in their entirety will put you a step ahead.
