hello everyone this is my first post on here...i recently bought a go kart that has a comet clutch on it i have never had experience with comet before and i am having a problem and cant fix it....my clutch is the 20 series....whats happening is whenever i start the engine and hit the gas to go the kart jumps quite violently until i get moving im pretty sure its the clutch because the chain is tight and i dont know what else would cause something like this....Another thing is when i took the clutch apart to try and diagnose the problem i noticed that the spring has three different holes numbered 1,2,and 3 is there a certain hole that the spring is supposed to go into or does it matter? thanks for any replies

comet is a great brand that was unfortunately put out of business by cheap chinese brands, if i remember correctly you should put the spring in hole 1 if you wish to cut down on torque

oops sry about that, i meant to say something more on the lines of making it shift sooner, i was just suggesting this cause it seamed like he was getting a lot of low end power so shifting sooner would let the tc get out of low gear sooner so you wont be popping crazy wheelies, but i may be wrong, you have much more experience with torque converters than i do:thumbsup:
