Being that it is a 270cc engine, the carburetor and exhaust parts for the predator 301
and the Honda 270 will most likely fit. I doubt that anything from a small block (212cc)
will interchange on your engine.

I did some checking and I think you got it right. I'm gonna try to put the "semi" big block on my little Fox. I cheated though and bought an adapter plate. Was gonna cut and weld and grind and swear and scrape knuckles and such, but WTF, for $35 a cheater adapter plate ended up looking like a better idea. I'm guessing I'll have to find an additional drive chain link or two but that's no big deal.

I'm gonna put in on stock, governor, and all, see how it goes, then de-governorer (sp) it and go with carb and pipe later.

Adapter plate does not fit. Plus, it's aluminum so I can't weld and cut and such to make it fit. Back to fabricating with mild steel. I'm gonna make this damn oversize motor fit even if I have to use super glue and JB weld. It has become my white whale.

Thank you. I'm gonna study up better this time and do some more careful measuring. I was very surprised that the one I got didn't fit the Predator 212 holes. I would have welded it (oh the horror) if it hadn't been aluminum.

I've asked a friend who works with metal to cut me a rectangle of 1/4 inch steel. Gonna drill or torch holes in the proper places and make this a DIY thing. It's a pretty small kart that I like quite a bit. I figure a somewhat hotrodded 270cc 9hp engine will give me (and the frame) about all it/I can handle.

We will see.

Thanks for the help...
