New member here, but I’ve been creeping for several weeks to learn about a ’00 Yerf Dog my kids and I are working to restore as their first vehicle project. You have an informative, helpful and welcoming forum and I’m glad to be part of!

Get ya a vw sand rail, a big kid version of a go kart.

My advice is ditch the tecumseh and get a predator and definitely bigger front tires. Harbor freight is the best place to pick up tires, engines, hardware, wiring, and other components for these beasties. Gopowersports.com is also a great place for parts.

I e already got too many projects. Cars, Motorcycles, and more.

I've got a '48 willys jeep I'm jamming the engine and tranny from an '81 Camaro in and a '63 dart 4 door with a 170 slant 6 and 3 in the tree I am fixing up for a daily. I've also got a '69 Honda ct90 restoration project, a mini bike, a motorized bicycle, and of course my go kart.

65 Pontiac Grand Prix, 66 Cadillac Calais, 67 Chevy Impala SS convertible, 75 Malibu and a 75 Corvette I’m working on putting together a tunnel rammed big block together for. And that’s just the cars.

Something that dawned on me the other day is if I had the money for the new car I wanted, with the same mo ey I could buy the classic I want and have it fully restored for the same price, including the engine swap I want.

Or it could have a classic engine and transmission that you can fix with hand tools. But when you hop in you’re not sure how it’ll start, un like a restomod. Pros and cons… all I know is I prefer the way classics look for sure, other people can have the imports.

I personally hate import cars. The only import cars I like are 70s or earlier British imported cars, and of course the chevy luv

triumph Spitfire is all I have to say. Not sure why, but I love ‘em. I’ll own one, mark my words. It’ll be a Cobra rip-off. Probably a 340 6 pak motor in it, and a 4 speed.

I want a 1975 mg midget with a 350 chevy, holley efi, 232 heads, a stoker kit, and a 5spd manual. It would be scary fast.

Nova is an LS swap. Nothing fancy, just a junkyard 5.3 with cam and valvetrain, 3" pipes, 3.73 gears and a trutrac. It's a blast and it was my first car. I've owned it over 22 years now.

Don’t worry, the Yerf already got a Predator 224 swap and 145/79-6 knobbies up front. I’ve started a build thread to share progress and ask the same questions I’m sure 10,000 go kart newbs have asked before.

Kinda hard for us to separate karts and cars, but after all, why would we? Nice setup on the Nova.
