I thought using a box end ratcheting wrench was a good idea until I tried to take it off.
It went on the nut easy because the bolt could tip over to the side and make room. I didn't think ahead to figure out tightening the nut would stand it up and lock it under the flange on the engine block, until it was too late.
After about an hour of inappropriate use of tools I was able to remove it. The wrench survived without issue. I swore it was going to be sacrificed. The engine is scarred for life...
