A small gokart
I could gear it down but it wouldn't go very fast
what is the average cost of a good dc motor?

To make the answer short, no. U need about 36v at least to get some nice power out of them. Running that one on 36v would burn it out in no time.

No your not going to have much fun with that motor. If your are building an electric project the most common motors to use are the 36v to 46v (Brushless are best) but they will set you back more than $20. If you do plan to use these you have to take into account that you will need good quality speed controllers that wont let you down.

How do you get speed controller to work it has a red black and green wire, do you need a to connect it to somthing
