Okay so i am planning to build a trike out of some 1-1/4 tubing. It will have a live axle kit and predator 212. I see people do these builds all the time for drift trikes, but would the trike work without pvc, as in to not drift? Would the two powered wheels make it hard to steer or would it work? Any help would be appreciated, Thanks.

Drift trikes do there thing by way of the plastic sleeves...
The motor itself won't have enough torque to break traction on dry pavement...

Yea im asking if i use the trike on pavement (no sleeves, so not as a drift trike) if it will have trouble turning. Someone mentioned to me that if both wheels are being powered and they have traction, the trike wont want to turn.

It will function fine.. For the typical given length... Having a live axle is fine.. Most gokarts operate that way...

I couldn't even turn my trike on concrete in the shop until I cut the live axle in two.
Will bridge the cut with a coupling for use off road.

Dang, that kinda throws a wrench in my current free time project... I wish that dang plastic wasn't so hard to come by.

What the plastic wheels?? a piece of plastic tubes. i would think that would be the cheap part. Tires are like $50 each already and that's cheap tires.

One time i picked up 10" plastic pipe from a irrigation company. i got 6' of 10" pipe for like $10. used it for car sub woofer box.

i've never done the plastic tires thing but here is ebay listing for 12"
