Just want to pass this along. There is a coupon for The Harbor Freight welder This weekend. Many guys on the forum say they use this a lot with no problems, if you use good Lincoln or Miller wire. This is a good deal my comparable Lincoln welder was like $450 bucks.

I have one of the HF 220v TIG welders. I've had it four years now without a single malfunction, and I weld a LOT. Best $400 I've ever spent on a welder.

Christmas came early for me this year as I got a great deal on a Firepower MST 220i Stick, MIG, & TIG welder!

I have a Clark MIG welder that gets the job done, but I've always wanted to learn to TIG weld... just haven't had the funds to get a descent TIG welder. So at work I was placed in charge of directing a photo shoot for the cover of NAPA's new Tools & Equip. catalog. Rented a bay at a local dealership for a Saturday photo shoot. We had manufactures send in some equipment to stage throughout the pictures. Some of the items we donated to the dealership for using their facilities, the remaining items were requested by the manufactures to be shipped back to them. So I contacted the Firepower Rep to see if they were willing to sell it to me instead of them paying to ship it back to themselves...

Welder is on sale with NAPA for $1,399. Comes with Stick & MIG Gun, Ground clamp, regulator/gauge/hoses for tank, and some accessories. The sales rep included an auto-darkening welding helmet, a welder cart, MIG spool gun, TIG Gun & Foot pedal in the deal for a total of about $700! Haven't wiped the grin off my face yet...

Was previously looking at Harbor Freight's TIG for $499... for $700, it's like getting the Cadillac for almost the Moped price...

Now got to get a tank, add another 50 amp breaker to the box, wire in a new wall plug and make a extension cord before I can start practicing...
