wheelchair accessible modification

I am a wheelchair user because of my spinal cord, So i modify my van to a wheelchair accessible . This is really very helpful for me.I can go anywhere with my wheelchair van. I just want to know what other wheelchair user use when the want to go outside.

My son is in a wheelchair. I have been toying with the idea of making a push kart that accepts his wheel chair and has plenty of torque and goes about 5mph.
I made a sidecar for him and also considering the next side car to accept his chair.
