What's the world coming to?

The problem is, where do you draw the line? It's all subjective. What's stupid to one group of people, may not be to another group.

Case in point: I know someone who was hit by a car; driver wasn't paying attention while parking & hit a pedestrian who was on the sidewalk. She was off work for two weeks as a result of her injuries but couldn't claim for anything (medical expenses, loss of income) because she didn't break any bones
