welding nere engine

im sure i can but i thought id check anyway

can i weld my gokart while the engine is in place
more to the point im welding the engine mounts on
so if i keep the negative clamp close to my working space and try not to get any electrical parts any for the frame

oh yeah and this is a motorcylce engine if that changes any thing

Keep the work clamp close to the weld area, and diconnect the battery so the current will not pass through the engine's electronics. Same rules apply when welding on a car/truck.

it currently has no battery and iv disconnected the altinator lead as im practically welding 4cm from it
