and here is some high pressure sample welds i did today on aluminium

first one is in fixed horizontal position i was moving around the tube (4")

second is 1g flat on a rotating machine

awesome, I'll have to try this again tomorrow. What size electrode were you using? Last time i tried i was able to get maybe 1/4" or so of a bead before i burned through, and it was hell from there.

i was using 3/32 zirconium tungsten and 3/32 filler rod setted the machine at 60 amp and played a lot with the remote

Sounds like your electrode/filler rod, and machine settings were about the same as mine were, i just need practice haha.

Ok, heres my attempt haha. I only got part way around the can, because some kids in class kept f#$king with the welder while i was welding, turning it off then on, adjusting amperage, turning the gas off...i almost kicked someone ***, it was really annoying.

This was the first time tigging in a few months so i did a few practice beads, then went for it...

thats when you hold the stinger off the table, STOMP the pedal and touch one of them with it....

or play the trick, have them hold a weld rod, and go wide open and touch the rod with the gun...gives them a nice shock through the glove... and its not deadly

Kaptain K In your attempt at the cans it looks as though you were a little dirty.If you start contaminated your whole bead will suck.For me that first little ball of mirror is the worst,once I have something to work off of it's all down hill.I've spent the last 3 days building a custom ladder rack for a new truck.

I did contaminate it twice when those people were messin with me, thats why i stopped and didnt try to make it all the way around.

i did that at work soo people are serious there lol. but yeah when i weld leave me the **** ALONE!!! lol
