trying to find engine specs

I have an Ironton 208cc OHV horizontal shaft engine and I'm trying to find the specs for it
Anyone know anything? or has anyone had experience with these? any advice on these engines anything that I should know about is appreciated

Most small engines in the same size groups have universal specs. Alot of the times I'll go off 212 specs because they are easy to find, but this might not be the best option for all engines.

Get a pic.
Sounds like the basic 208cc clone style, non hemi head. Very reliable, easy to work on.
70mm bore
54mm stroke

Flywheel taper will accept any flywheel from any clone, EXCEPT the predator 212 HEMI. It's always best to measure on used unknown engines. It's very easy for some one to mix these parts.

Camshaft journals will accept any clone cam, EXCEPT predator 212 NON hemi. Yes, I know, preds are confusing. Again, always best to measure.

Connecting rod is same bores as all clone rods, big end and little end. Unless some one changed it to a predator crank, they are .008" bigger on the big end. But small end is same as clone.
Best to measure before ordering anything.

Here's specs I use for ALL clone style OHV engines, yes these are important. Too tight causes drag, too lose causes leaks or knocking.

On aftermarket rods, use the recommended torque spec from the manufacturer.

Yup, predator engines are confusing to get parts for, especially when you have one of each.

so could I use parts from the Predator 212? also what about power figures? Ialready kw that it has 9ft-pnds of torque bu tidkw the power

It's probably 5.5 to 7 ish hp. BrownStainRacing said what parts for a 212 should work for your engine, but you should measure your parts before buying

Start with the easiest, cheapest mods, tuning, adjustments 1st.

Throwing big $ internal power parts in, will get you now where with out these simple adjustments 1st.
