Tough decision, that probably every man has gone through, that can call himself one... no not the decision to go with the hot swiss girl with possibly HIV over the pig faced girl who certainly cannot have it.. lol...

To buy an ATV or to upgrade my shop. I started adding together figures, and to insulate it(Fibreglass stuff), and drywall it(Fire Retardant stuff), to epoxy the floor, and stud it... thus elimating some of the cold/heat sweeping/moisture issues, and the fact that its a bugger to screw things to concrete walls, It would cost me about $307. The I would probably want to add a new toy or so to it (Maybe a lathe or a cheapo mill) thus chewing up all I am willing to spend right now.

Or I can forgo this, and get an ATV.

My fun lovin' side says ATV. But my creative side that says I am in for a fast approaching winter says finished shop/toys(I mean tools... :) .)

Tough Decision.... I cant spend all that I make this summer, because I have to save up for insurance/car which I will have to deal with come January when i can get my permit.

I know its a personal decision, but I figured I could see what people respond.

upgrade your shop, but save $100-$200 of your budget, and buy an atv in need of work, then use your new warm shop to fix it up.

yea put it into your shop, if you can salvage some cheap insulation it will be worth it, or just buy a badass jacket and get the atv.... hard decision

Upgrade your shop, you will get untold years of enjoyment and it never gets any cheaper. Shop around for recycled materials to save costs, do the work yourself with help from some friends. Kaptain Krunch has the right idea, once your upgrades are done, find a fixer upper. If you have achoice, heat with wood.

I dont have the wood option. Besides... I use everything thats not sawdust... Coasters, book stops, etc.

I am going to do it. I think tho, I might get a nice cabinet saw to go with it... if I can bear to pony up $800 for a single tool.... altho one that is at the heart of every shop...

And the moving idea also wont work.... because I have to power wash the whole garage before I can do anything. Powerwashing includes water, which causes rust, which causes me headache.
