Hey guys I need some assistance finding a part.

I have this TC http://gokartsusa.com/Baja-Heat-MB200-Minibike-TC2-Torque-Converter.aspx

Was riding today and it seemed a little off. Was coming back home t check it out and heard a noise. Turned the bike off and found that the plate had come off. It's made with a indentation that lets it sit on the bolt to keep from sliding. Somehow it stripped out. Can I order a new plate, not the whole unit? I attached some pics of the part I need

Didn't want to make a whole separate thread, but I ordered an air filter awhile ago (the better one). Where can I buy the part that allows me to attach it to the engine?

Thanks for all the help...I need it :D

Beltpalace.com has the face.

I would get the hub driver also. $25 for both parts.

Hub driver link....... http://beltpalace.com/comet200376a.html

Face piece............ http://beltpalace.com/comet219204a.html

Those should work but ask them to double check and be safe.

Thank you!! I looked for a long time but couldn't seem to find them anywhere. They have good prices too!

going to check my hub driver, it looks ok, might not need it

I'll ask them about it though

Quick update, ordered the plate this past Wednesday, got here today! Works perfect! Thanks for the suggestion Joe-405! Will keep that store in mind in the future.

The GTC I ordered previously was the style for the clone engine that is not tapped.
The whole lug nut thing was stupid as all get out, and only grabbed the driveshaft with about two and a half turns.
I ended up grinding the shoulder of the lug nut a bunch so that it could get a hold of a lot more shaft.

The reason that the cover strips out is that not enough tension holds it in place, and allows it to rock back and forth.

Many of the Chinese clones that are for the tapped shafts come with a fitted washer that helps prevent this, but the bolt they send is almost too short, again not getting a very good grip on the shaft. I replaced the bolts on those with longer ones, and haven't had that problem since.

Interesting. I'll have to take some pics of mine. It seemed to work pretty well yesterday.

My bolt that holds the whole thing on the crankshaft seems long enough. I ordered from gokartsusa and there was the option for a bolt that was used on the Baja engine.

Well, the older Baja engines are tapped, and some of the newer ones aren't and need the lugnut instead of a bolt.

I think my Baja is a 2014 model. I'm not sure the difference between the tapped and untapped ones though...lol
It's all very simple.
If the shaft you mount your TC on has a hole with threads in it, (Threads are those things that go round and round in the hole) then your shaft is tapped.
If it just has a dimple on the end without a hole or threads, it is untapped.
