thinking of an electric go kart.

as some of you know I am working on going through some land filled with stuff.

well aparently the guy got a miles electric vehicle as a trade back in 2007 it has 0 miles....


its a low speed vehicle built to achieve 35mph but governed to 25mph. on opening the hood... The 150ah 12 volt battery stood out. its roughly 2 foot X 9 inches. it has a few of these being it is a 72 volt car.

the car is a pos and will never be used. various parts were stolen over the years but.....

it has the motor. trans. batteries would it be a good idea for a go kart? or be way overkill being its a motor made to push 1085kg about 2400lb

I will upload some pics as it sits in the morning.

if it is a complete vehicle it pretty much is a go cart. just have to lighten it as much as possible like remove all the doors. maybe remove the hood and all the un-needed stuff like carpets and headliners. you could probably also remove most of the windows but you might want to keep the front one even though it might get damaged having fun.

I did not endup making it up to the lot to take pics today. I deff will in the AM but heres some teaser pics of what it should look like.

I would use it as is. but driving ungoverned and cruising at 35mph in my area. would basicly only get me from my home to this guys house and the lots lol. most other roads are 45 of 50+ in my area.

the funny yet sad part about this car is...and you will see it in the pics when I post them but. the silver fender flairs are badly faded. and going along with the 0 miles theme. the headlights and taillights look clouded but...its the dealership protective plastic...its just disintegrated to the point of being a permanent mod lol. the interior is also still covered in shipping plastic and the original shipping paper is on the window.

maybe just maybe I should install a gas motor in the car. register it as a street legal LSV and make an electric go kart :p.
aparently I have the first model they made. the newer ZX40s is 72 volts.
It is powered by a single 48-volt electric motor, which produces 4.2 kW (5.6 hp) and uses a 150-amp-hour battery pack. so....... a clone motor and CVT should do XD maybe a busa motor.

I wonder how it came to be that a brand new vehicle like that just ended up sitting in a yard degrading. I'd be inclined to strip the goodies out of it and build an electric UTV or something.

well with this guy it would seem many people cant pay money they owe. so they drop off stuff if he wants it or not as compensation.

alil off topic but theres a 1966 Porsche 912 sunroof coupe hanging around there also

a 80s? Porsche 924 with a 944 motor swap.

a pair of 1978 evenrude snowmobiles on a trailer that was parked in the garage in 1980.

and more equipment then ide ever know what to do with.
diesel trailer welder, trailer air compressor, 4 bulldozers, 2 backhoes, 9 tractors, 2 front end loaders, a mini excavator. 2 ditch witches, 1 sprinkler line puller, 2 bobcats, large 20ton forklift and thats only the start of it :/

How much would you want for either of the Porsches? I'm interested in all of it though. If you're willing to sell. Even if they don't run I would buy
