HEY LOOK! ANOTHER FREEBIE! Picked this up from a buddy of mine. '81 850L with a "slight" fire issue. (It's a self activating Bar B Que. Suck it charcoal freaks!) Best part is I got a kart frame hanging in the shed that's already set up for this engine. Throw about $3500 into it and it MIGHT be able to move under it's own umf. Or keep it and turn it into "café" kinda thing. Iunno yet. I'll wait till the snow's gone.

the Bassani 2 into 1 stainless, so much quiter than my V&H short shots and gives enough torque to chirp that brand new Commander II rear

broke my clutch lever which was a blessing in disguise, clutch cable was about to crap out on me, with new lever and cable she shifts like a 2018

oh yeah, put on Progressive 490 rear shocks which lifted the bike several inches, pretty sick

one minute you're having one of the best rides of your life mashing down the Carefree Hwy in cool morning air, then a BANG, the bike lurches, and your leg is feeling the oddest sensation

blew the plug out of the head and the wire was shocking the crap out of me LOL

I ordered a thread repair kit and I'll pull the head this weekend

I picked up a 2007 ninja 250 not running for $300 about another $300 a couple valves and rocker arms later I have a nice little starter bike for me to learn on this summer!

So after 7 months of just sitting on the lift and doing nothing the bike is finally done! Both are actually. The Wing is the centerpiece of the downsized collection. Been on the road for a week and already has 2400mi on it this year. The Shadow has turned into a lawn ornament after the clutch assembly exploded.

no shortage of drama, the check engine light had been going on and off intermittently for weeks, I pulled the codes and found a female quick disconnect spade terminal was all you need to jump terminals on the Dyna, there was many codes, one was the MAP sensor, I cleaned it although I cant be sure it was totally cleaned, very small orifice that measures the fuel/air mixture

problem didnt go away and finally the bike ran like crap as I was pulling in to the office Thursday, Scottsdale HD is extremely close to the office and I had big biker plans that night so I had it towed there in hopes they'd fix it same day- I told the service guy exactly what I thought was wrong, that it was somewhere in fuel delivery or spark delivery

rather than focus on the problem at hand he just started with the ground up, tried to sell me new tires, a new battery, pointed out the primary chain tensioner was cracked and I let him fix that although I absolutely shouldnt have- I couldve done that easily

so once all that was done he told me I needed a new ignition module and I'm thinking OK, that IS the problem, I asked turnaround and it was over a week, I demanded he tow my bike to my office and I would take care of it from there, I cleared them with our security and those punks didnt even try to enter our campus, they dropped the bike on the sidewalk in front of our office and left!

well this was Friday and I had driven my Avalance to work, I noticed a lift ramp by our loading docks and got loose permission to load my Dyna in my truck

got it home and replaced the module with a high performance unit while it was still in the bed of the truck, then battery was dead- why not right?! well I went on nextdoor.com and a neighbor had a dirt loading dock so we rolled bike out of the truck and into my utility trailer, bought a new battery and filed a warranty claim on the less than 11 month old battery that just died, rolling proper once again

A couple days ago I bought these two bikes from a guy who was selling his house and the bikes had been sitting there for 15 years. One is a 1973 CB550 and one is a 1981 CB750. I bought them both for $300 total, and they ran when parked.

Hopefully they are mechanically sound, but even if they aren’t it was too good of a deal for me to pass up because they are really decent looking bikes.

Well after a season of riding the ninja and getting my motorcycle licence on it I picked up a new to me bike, a 2001 Yamaha V star 1100! I have it in my garage taking care of a few small things here and there and powder coating some stuff well it is apart but this thing should be a bit more powerful than the little ninja 250 and sooooo much more comfortable, sadly have to wait for warmer weather but should be plenty ready for when it comes!
