Hello I am new to this forum and I need Help.

I have a Tao Tao GK110 I got my kids for Christmas. It has been running great until the other day. My kids came back pushing the go kart and said they couldn't get it started again. I thought possibly it overheated and we needed to wait for it cool down. Still no start. I have changed the spark plug and cleaned the air filter, still no start. The engine turns over just fine it just won't stat again. I am not sure what to check next. I am pretty handy and can fix most things but there is no service manual available. Can any give some advice on what to do.

Thanks

How do I check for spark and if I don't have spark what do I need to do?

Thanks

Take the spark plug out of the engine block, plug it into the boot(black rubber thing that goes over it), set the plug on the engine, and try to start it. While starting it look at the gap on the end of the plug and if you see spark then the plug should be good. If you don’t see spark then first try a new plug.

I have no spark and I have tried a new plug and sill no spark. What should I check next? Could it be the ignition coil and how do I check to see if that is good or not?

Check your kill switch for proper continuity. Does your kart have a brake switch? Some that do, require the brake to be depressed in order to be started.
