Smoking Exhaust - Leak?

Check out this video. My daughter flipped the cart months ago, been sitting for a bit. The pull start was stuck and I pulled it from the fly wheel, put on a new clutch and chain, and I got it running today. Its been on and off for over 10 minutes and still shooting white smoke. Do you think there is something wrong internally or just burn off the oil? Looks like some oil is coming down to the manifold connection, but doesnt appear to be leaking from gasket

1) I checked oil levels, they are ok
2) Compression is good, I put my finger over crank case with spark plug removed and can feel the compression/pressure
3) I put on brand new air filter (i know video shows it removed) but still shooting smoke with new filter

I think next step is to drain all the oil and try to siphon? Please let me know, it still runs but shooting the smoke is kind of annoying. This is a 2019 Mini TRX

My daughter flipped the cart months ago...

When the kart flips, all the oil runs into the cylinder ...or it flows into the lowest point by gravity (oil may have seeped past an open exhaust valve and into the muffler). It may simply be burning off all the oil that had collected in the cylinder and the muffler. It will take a long long time to burn it all off.

Just watched the video. It sure is chugging badly, like it is on choke. That is a lot of oil leaking at the exhaust pipe gasket. I would take the muffler off and after letting it cool, maybe flush some mineral spirits or paint thinner through it to dissolve the oil, plus investigate further why that oil is leaking and collecting at the exhaust flange. Make sure your gasket there is good and replace it if you need to.

Might have too much oil in it. What engine is it?

If the exhaust is full of oil, throw it on a bonfire. A BBQ muffler. Burns out all the crap.

Truly. It will work and burn out all the residue. Otherwise, I would get one of these:

But you might need to re-jet. And get a screw on muffler/spark arrestor -- you will have the best of both worlds: deafening noise and something more civil... I think the go-to is Briggs & Stratton 294599 with 3/4" NPT threads. It's a hot dog muffler

Gasket was toast and I took the exhaust off and flushed with mineral spirits, it was definitely dirty. I ordered a new gasket and some other parts for the drive train, will update you all next week when I put it all together. If its still spitting smoke after the cleaning and exhaust BBQ, I'm prob going be in over my head with a rebuild or piston ring kit, but going to eliminate all the basic fixes until we have to really remediate anything
thanks for the advice!

Well it was running, just sounded like it was running on choke. Suck/squeeze/bang/blow + Spark, fuel, compression and all at the right time is confirmed.

Next time it flips over, put it back on all 4 wheels, take out the spark plug and pull the starter rope over and over and see if oil is puking out of the plug hole. That is a good way to clear the cylinder if it is full of oil.

By the way, I would not necessarily throw it on a bonfire to burn off the oil but I might "weenie roast" it on a stick or metal rod over a fire. You could even run a blow torch over it. Lots of options. Good luck on your endeavors.
