Sled engine - go-kart

I bought a Yamaha 340 2 cylinder sled engine and I was wondering does anyone have any ideas on how I should setup the drive system? I have barely any room to spare. Should I go direct drive or use a jackshaft?

Jack shaft is a must, run the same style setup the sled did, primary clutch to secondary (secondary mounted on a jackshaft) and jackshaft to axle.

He wont be able to go very far either, the belt will just burn up. I know sled engines got power but 1:1 ratio spinning at 8k+ aint gonna work out too well, the belt will just end up smokin.
