Correct. It was the Tote Gote 780, made by Bonham. The Bonham clutch was mounted backwards. It was an ingenious set up, but a lot more costly than a chain. They even make a shaft drive set up for bicycles these days. Nice thinking outside of the box, Joe.

I rode a shadow 1100 once. It had a shaft drive. It was so weird to raise up under throttle. I didn't care much for it.

I'm big on open 3 inch belt drive primaries though. They may rip your pants now and then , but nothing says bada$$ quite like an open belt primary.

I realize you put miles on your bike, I get that part.
Constant oil changes, cleaning the air filters every other day, occasional flats, tired dogs....

Replacing chains, sprockets, occasional belts, oiling chain, adjusting tension, cleaning and lubing TC's...That stuff.
