Has anyone ever put a bigger engine on a 50cc scooter like this. i think it would be hilarious and fun. plus im gettin a scooter and a little 50cc engine does not sound to fun.

well it was stock. speedometer said 90kph witch is 60mph. i left it stock. i guess its because the way its geared. as for acceleration its pretty good. it has something like a torque converter. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qPdCeNHfR1w watch this, has my go-kart and scooter. i said in the video i didn't know the cc,but i found the model #.searched it it was 50cc. i am pretty amazed with it.

hey man ive had the same thoughts. i have like 3 old electric scooter frames. you should def throw a briggs engine in there, and take the little 50cc off of it

That scooter doesn't do 60, no way in hell (the moped that is). Either it's NOT 50cc's, or it's been completely decked out. 60 with a 2 stroke 50cc is near impossible.

50cc's is plenty... you'd do 20ish, and the pole will eventually snap, and probably the motor mounts will let go.

I built a bike last year with a 49cc engine and a CVT. It did about 25 on gravel with good acceleration, and I weigh about 250 pounds. It could probably be geared to go 30 or 35 on pavement with decent acceleration. That would feel fast enough for me.

Peugeot make 50cc scooters that will do over 60mph, CVTs (note, not a single gear, every scooter I have come across has a CVT) are awesome on 2 strokes, the engine can just sit in power band whilst the CVT changes the gear ratio to give you more speed.

Oscaryu1, I think you under estimate what these scooters are capable of, in Europe there is a huge modifying scene for these, a few friends of mine have de-restricted their scooters and are getting almost 90kms out of them, no other mods and they are just cheap ****ty scooters.

Well it probly is more than 50cc. its just closest thing i could find by the number is 50cc. but it is a chinese moped. could be 150cc for all i know. just most like this are 50cc.
