Hey, so I am 14 years old now and I picked up an old razor dirt bike frame and I need to be educated before I dive in on converting it to a gas powered pit bike. First of all, what do I need besides an engine, and how do you connect the throttle grip and clutch lever to the engine? As you can see I am not well educated on gas engines and I guess that's why I came here. Any help and tips would be much appreciated! Thanks in advance. =)

:welcome2: pics of the frame would be nice. But I see a couple issues with this plan.

First, the bike has no place to mount the engine, so you will have to fabricate your own mounts.

Second, the electric motor drives on the right side of the rear wheel, and a Lifan drives on the left side like a normal gas dirt bike. I suppose this could be solved with a jackshaft or flipping the rear wheel, but it still makes it more difficult.

I'm sure this is totally doable, but my question is, why not just buy a little old xr80 or something if you want a gas dirt bike?
