The program I mentioned is called Performance Trends, Engine Analyzer Pro. I believe there was a free trial. It allows you to input a bunch of variables. Some stuff might be tough to get exact. Carb CFM data I took from people with flow bench data. Valve port throat crosssectional area is difficult to measure. Some inputs I had to guess and check to see if output was reasonable. I was able to get a 212 with CL1 cam on the simulator to output TQ/HP curves that were somewhat in line with Sneaks’ (Gary C) Dyno Results from the article “Hotrodding the Predator 212.” At the time, thus was some of the best available data to compare the sims results to.

I believe this trial was a Hemi head 212 with 27mm / 25mm valves and CL1 cam (compared to Sneaks’ 25/24mm head.

My software showing examples of an engine with varying exhausts
0.85” ID x 18”
0.99” ID x 18”

Then I let the software optimize length and diameter and got
0.925” ID x 30” long
