Where is the Manclone frame kit?
Why is that 400 bucks? The Asuza frame kit pre welded is under 200.

Good idea though. This is a very needed and demanded item for the karting world!

I like the idea as well. But Im with chancer, $400 is really high price for a frame. The frame is the least expensive part of a kart to make. You could go down to the local metal supermarkets or the like and make that frame for a lot less!

I get that some people cant cut the metal and make the frame, but if they have a welder (which they need for this kit) im guessing they have the tools to make the cuts as well.

Overall it looks like a nice frame and im sure a ton of people will enjoy the kit!!! If I got it, i'd make it a live axle though.

Keep up the great work guys!

EDIT:
Also cant help but notice how close the design is to kartfabs plans. The part number is even "KFFRAME".

I want to dumpster dive at azusa.. But that little treasure chest is behind a gate.
Climb the fence.

Wait 400 Bucks and it is not Even a live Axle?

Anyone with a welder would know better than to want this?

I love GPS. I just don't see it on this item.. It ends up $1041.00 to finish...
For a 1 tire fire with a Stock 212.

I agree with you completely..
but the thing .. there are PEOPLE working to make this thing, very likely within the very own shop of GPS.
People who will need to pay their rent, food and taxes for making the cuts..

this is not a chinese import kit... and that's why the pricetag is a bit scary.
Same with the s40 backplate.. the price is nasty.. but it's just because there is no labourslavery involved ;)

that being said.. it'S too expensive
(what use is making a kit you cannot sell because it's too expensive ?)

in the end.. it needs a live axle, and the price needs to come down to make it worthwhile..
(proper jigs for faster precision cuts to reduce the time you need to make one is the only thing I could think of)
But I like the idea of anyone making good kits (the azusa kart is kid size... not really feasible for an adult for all I know... also likely made in china as well; so yeah :()

thanks for the effort... now turn on the price screw to make people actually want it ;)

talking about "wanting stuff" what happened to the Manco Clone?
I think that'd be the announcement many users have been hoping for to be frank.

I'm with Alex on this one... kind of, I can see both sides of the coin...

I had my AusEx frame custom made, a one off, & it cost me $300AUD; that didn't include an engine plate, steering shaft, front spindle brackets, floor pan, etc, JUST THE BARE FRAME PIECES & they supplied the material...

So, $424USD ($571AUD) does sound a little rich to me, it's not like this is a one off &, like any machine shop, most of the cost is in setup, once that's done, the price per unit drops; but, you need to fabricate NOTHING, just weld it all together...

The price might be a bit high but not outrageous IMO, if you just wanted to weld up, paint and assemble our own gokart or two or three with a few buddies or your kids without having to do all the layout I think it would a great frame to buy.
I'm sure if someone ran into trouble with it they could pick up the phone and get it straight fast as well.

I'd sort of like to get together with a group of people that all start off with the same basic NEW kart kit and just run a stock type class for fun.I got a dirt circle driveway maybe 600-700 feet long up north with a mild hill and a sandy corner that is a blast to whip around plus a 600' long straight away.

$400 for a kit that isn't welded, isn't live axle and doesn't come with any brakes or a seat?! HAHAHA
