Potentiometer help, missing wire from controller.

Hi!

New to the forum, and I need som help with my configuration. I have this motor controller:

But, not totally the same as the one I linked to, mine is missing the "+5V potentiometer cable". And I have this potentiometer:

with 3 pins, pin 1&3 goes to the input 1&3 on the motor controller, but pin 2 is supposed to have the "+5v cable" from the back of the controller. My question is how do I solve the problem?
