Hi there,

I just bought my 6 year old son a Porsche go kart (http://shop2.porsche.com/australia/kids/cars/wap0400020c/porsche-go-kart-grey-orange.pdds).

The chain came off within a few hours of my son riding it and I had to take it back to the dealer to have it fixed.

Has anyone in this forum bought this? If so, what's your experience with it.

Do you think it's possible to motorize this (ie: add an electric or petrol engine)? Would it be safe?

I would want it to be plug-and-play in the sense that I should be able to easily attach to the go kart and disconnect it when not in use, without voiding warranty.

Thanks.

I'm gonna go out on a limb & say no to the plug & play option; an engine or electric motor needs a solid mount to work sucessfully, which usually means welding, which is out of the question...

IMHO, perhaps you would've been better off buying something like this

EDIT: BTW, please add your location to your user profile
