A View of the rear. It has the 6.5 hp Harbor Freight engine and disk brakes. 1" Sq tubing for all frame work.

Tav2 torque converter, live axle. It will be bright orange when I paint it. So I started on hot muffler BEFORE I branded myself!

It has full suspension with a-arms in front and bending body in back. It gives a smooth ride. Simple steering gear.

It is long but then I am 6'6" so I need spreading out room! Seat was taken out of a pull-apart escort, it slides and adjusts, so shorty people can ride too.

Roll cage doubles as carry rack front and rear for long treks into the woods.

simple steering wheel. Kind of like short handle bars

10 tooth to 60 tooth 41 chain, 1" axle

I am super impressed with this engine, choke it and one pull and it is running. Stong runner. Great gas milage. Easy to hook up. Low oil kill. Easy to add remote kill switch. Did I mention cheap too?

The mule kinda thing is still going strong! It is for working, the other one is for fun!

Thanks

I haven't gpsed it yet but I am guessing 35 or 40. It has great acceleration and then the engine hits the govoner. But by then on the road it is going about as fast as I want too.

Looks great beanie.

The rear tyres are on backwards though. The raised bars along the tyre are supposed to force the dirt away from the tyre, not into the centre of it.

Yep I am having a ball with it. It is a lot more fun than I even thought it would be. A friend came and rode it and said"ok let's build another one" hahahah

I don't get it with the tires? They came mounted that way and work fine for me:confused:

yea, im pretty sure you wont actually notice them 'not working' but they are on incorrectly. take them off and swap the sides the tyres are on.

the grooves are there for 1 traction and 2 to work mud away from the centre so that the tyre keeps traction. right now they angle inwards, pulling mud into the centre.

I wondered about that too. That is the only way I could get it to mount to the engine without blocking an oil opening? If I could have done it differently I could have cut out some heigth of the engine stand.
