Hello from North Dakota, I joined because I’m having a hard time finding active forums in the go cart modding community.
been a long time creeper here and figured it’s time I join.
I’m not getting ANY help from the Gy6 engine world for upgrading the power plant of this jeep, but I have some major plans for an Atv motor.

While you're at it, see if you can reinforce the rear suspension, and maybe give a little more steering angle and precision to the front end. Nice design for the cage. What's the intended use? I wonder because this is a cool project.

mainly for bee-boppin around the neighborhood, pulling trailers around the yard, some off roading.

basically trying to give it the durability and reliability of Honda motors, MUST have reverse, and selectable gears instead of the current cvt setup.
it doesn’t have enough low end torque to spin the tires in 6” of snow, it will just burn the belt.
doesn’t have enough top end to do more than 26mph without overrevving. So gear change is out of the question.
After much measuring, I find the biggest possible fit for an engine relocate would be 300-350cc into the front, and make jackshafts to get the power to the rear. Wether it be chain or shaft, I like the idea of shaft but that may get pricey with having to widen a Honda trx350 rear diff.
