Hello every one 
. I am aravind from Bangalore (INDIA). I am into my final year under graduation and hear we form groups of 4 and each group should submit project at the end of this semester on any topic and it should be submitted before deadline with a hard copy of the report about the project and a seminar on it. so me and my team mates planned to design and fabricate an off road vehicle (BAJA car) which works on bio-diesel.
we started the design of the frame 2 months back using solid edge ST5. Now the fabrication chassis is almost complete and we are working on the front suspension.
And about the vehicle, it is powered by a Greaves GL400 diesel engine it's a 400cc engine generating 8.5 horses at 3600rpm and 16.67 N-m torque. Engine is coupled to a 4 speed manual transmission with reverse.
The wheel base of the vehicle will be around 1800mm and tack width of 1120mm. It will have all wheel independent suspension with Double A-arm front suspension and Trailing arm in the rear.
The chassis is fabricated using combination of square (30*30*2mm) and round cold rolled mild steel tubes
All the fabrication work is carried out on our college work shop
